I recently ordered one OLM 01 blanket and waiting to receive but I started searching about it and want to ask some questions

I read that there are contra indications like

- Acute infectious diseases and febrile states when diagnosis is not clear.

- Active forms of pulmonary tuberculosis.

- Acute myocardial infarction.

- Decompensated cardiac and pulmonary - cardiac insufficiencies.

- New grouths.

- Implants.

What i want to ask is about the acute conditions . Why is it contra indication for acute conditions and if there is an acute condition like grip , catching cold etc why it makes contra indication and do you mean it should not be used in these conditions

My second question is the blanket I ordered is 160cm by 220 cm and I read that you should be wrapped in the blanket like a roll , does that bean if the patient is fat and 160 cm is not enough to wrap him / her it has no effect or it has bad effect. If this is the situation then can i wrap him in width dimension , I mean in 220 diirection rather than 160 dimension and for example left the feet out.

Contraindications…Acute conditions…

As proverb says, better safe than sorry, but grip and catching cold do not refer to unclear diagnosis. Partial wrapping (as well as applying the blanket on the body) makes local effect.
Three types of OLM-01 blankets are produced:
standard blankets (220cm x 160 cm)
large blankets (220 cm x 205 cm)
small blankets (160 cm x 110 cm)
So, fat patients need large OLM for complete wrapping.
In addition, we produce LSM healing sleeping-bags based on OLM-01:
Standard LSM – 220 cm x 76 cm
Large LSM – 200 cm x 102 cm
Small LSM – 160 cm x 76 cm
They are more convenient for complete wrapping but cost more (see RITM OKB ZAO web-site).
