I understand that the scenar NT device is also called the blue scenar a lot.
I have not seen one of these, so I do have some questions.
In the 97.4 you could select Z and Number of pulses, but the frequency was
always fixed at 59.35 for some reason,.
Was that restriction relaxed or changed?
Somewhere I read a post that implied that you could change the frequency
and set intens as well.
Can you change the frequency, AND intens AND the Z value at the same time?
If so what are the frequencies you can select? |

The difference is in the origin of the device - RITMEDIC in Holland or OKB RITM in Tagnarog, Russia. Both are genuine RITM SCENAR devices.
The difference is in not only colour but function:
1. The Dutch Professional device is blue and the Russian Professional device is White (pro) and Blue (Pro plus).
2. They are both the same shape up till 2008 when the Russian devices changed shape and software.
3. In the Dutch device, like the the 97.4 you can select Z and Number of pulses, but the frequency was always fixed at 59.35. You are right there has been a a post that implied that you could change the frequency and set intensity as well in this device BUT your stimulus strength will be SEVERELY compromised (as the device is unable to supply adequate power to the processor to handle this function - evidenced by the fact that as you increase stimulus output the screen fades to a point of having a black screen).
4. In the Russian devices (post 07 I think), the intensity (the number of stimuli in a burst) can be controlled within the range of 1 to 8 but the maximal intensity value depends on frequency, gap, and energy strength. The greater the frequency, gap and energy strength are, the smaller the maximum intensity can be set. For example, at a maximal frequency (354Hz) the intensity cannot exceed 2. With increased frequency, gap and energy strength, the intensity is automatically decreased when needed.
Hope this helps.
